マニュアルないし手引書（てびきしょ）は、ある条件に対応する方法を知らない者（初心者）に対して、その対応方法を示し教えるための書物である。
人間の行動や方法論を解説したものとしては、社会や組織といった集団における規則（ルールなど）を文章などで示したもので、一般に箇条書きなどの形でまとめられ、状況に応じてどのようにすべきかを示してある。
